Part 2 of 4: How to Navigate the Tools Menu for the Brooks Instrument 0260 Power Supply, Smart Interface and Controller

1/15/2020

Now that your Brooks Smart Interface (BSI) 0260 Power Supply, Smart Interface and Controller is configured with Brooks mass flow controllers and/or pressure controllers, let’s review the Tools menu. It’s important to note you can only view the Tools menu once the module is stopped.

Extract TAG NUMBER from a Single Device: This feature will return the tag number from a single connected instrument in case the tag number is not known.

Select Gas Number: When a device has multiple gas curves the required curved can be selected. Be sure to re-initialize the system after a change and prior to use.

Select Flow Unit: The flow units displayed on the screen can be selected per device.

Totalizer Function: The totalizer can be stopped, reset and started again.

Configure User Defined Alarms: The alarms, depending on device type, can be selected and configured.

Select Setpoint Source: On certain instruments, the setpoint source can be set to analog so that the software only monitors the instruments.

To view the step-by-step instructions for each of these features, watch the video tutorial below created by our Technical Services team.
