New Brooks Instrument BCU Series Clamp-On Ultrasonic Flow Meter with Integrated EtherNet/IP™ Connectivity to Make Exclusive Debut October 1
Brooks Instrument Malaysia Celebrates New Manufacturing Facility

The Brooks Instrument BCU Series clamp-on flow meter delivers accurate, real-time flow monitoring across both upstream and downstream bioprocessing applications in a compact design without ever touching the process fluid.

HATFIELD, Pa. (USA) September 18, 2025 - Brooks Instrumenta world leader in advanced fluid measurement and control technologies, will preview its new BCU Series clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter with EtherNet/IP™ at the upcoming ISPE Boston Product Show on October 1, 2025. The BCU Series flow meter will be on display at booth W136 for a first-look demonstration. Full commercial product availability is expected later in October.

Engineered specifically for the demands of modern single-use bioprocessing, the BCU Series represents a new era of non-invasive flow measurement. The innovative design allows users to accurately measure flow through flexible tubing — without penetrating the line or contacting the process fluid — preserving sterility and reducing contamination risk.

“The BCU Series redefines what’s possible for flow measurement in biopharma production,” said Steve Kannengieszer, Global Marketing Director at Brooks Instrument. “It’s the first clamp-on ultrasonic flow meter in its class with built-in EtherNet/IP™, giving bioprocess engineers real-time visibility, advanced diagnostics, and plug-and-play integration with automated skid systems.”

Key features of the BCU Series flow meter include:

  • Clamp-on, non-invasive design – no disruption to sterile flow paths
  • Integrated EtherNet/IP™ – for seamless system connectivity and control
  • Advanced diagnostics – including high/low flow alarms and warnings and bubble detection
  • Compact, cleanroom-ready construction – ideal for upstream and downstream GMP applications
  • Compatible with common single-use tubing sizes

Visitors to the ISPE Boston Product Show at Gillette Stadium will be able to preview the product, view live demonstrations, and engage directly with Brooks Instrument application specialists to discuss how the BCU Series can address their specific flow measurement challenges.

The BCU Series will be commercially available later in October, with full technical resources and ordering information to be released on the Brooks Instrument website.
