Why Recalibrate?
Why is it necessary to recalibrate my flow meters? All instrumentation and process equipment is subject to wear and tear from their environment. This includes temperature, mechanical stress, component tolerance shift, contaminant buildup, oxidation, and other influences.
The effects are gradual, but over time the changes can affect the accuracy of even the best equipment. Ensuring the success of your process Brooks Instrument understands your need to keep your flow meters and flow controllers working at their best – accurate and reliable. That is why we have improved and expanded our operations to offer the most complete recalibration and repair service available.
Periodic calibration from Brooks Instrument will:
- Verify and ensure accuracy and reliability
- Increase production yields
- Optimize process resources
- Ensure process consistency
- Provide repeatable results
- Provide peace of mind
Create a recalibration schedule that’s right for you
We recommend starting with a 6-month “as found/as left” schedule to determine the ongoing stability of your devices’ accuracy. Use the date you collect to determine if it is necessary to continue on a 6-month schedule or extend it out to a 1-year interval. For high-contaminant areas, you may want to consider shortening the interval to 3-months. The flow process experts at Brooks are always ready to help out.
