Brooks Instrument Model 4800 Mass Flow Meter/Controller Wins Golden Gas Award
Hatfield, Pennsylvania (March 13, 2008) — Brooks Instrument has won the Gold Award in the 2008 Golden Gas Awards Competition in the category Mass Flow Measurement & Control for its model 4800 Series mass flow products. The award by the publishers of Gases & Instrumentation magazine was announced February 29, 2008, and was presented by publisher Paul Nesdore to Brooks Instrument’s vice president of sales, Steve Fierce at the PITTCON show in New Orleans on March 5, 2008.Entries for all products submitted were judged by experts from academia and government, who were selected based on their expertise in the areas of technology that matched the award categories. Criteria for the winning selections were:
- Product’s ability to solve an important challenge to the gas industry
- If an improved product, the extent and effectiveness of that improvement
- Technological innovativeness
- Environmental “green” attributes
- Superior specifications in terms of power requirements, speed, footprint, portability (if applicable), maintenance, cost effectiveness, and other quality considerations
