Winning Control Global’s Readers Choice Awards is probably one of the best awards that we can win because the winners are chosen by the users of instrumentation. You can check out the full press release about this here, but below is the gist.

Brooks was honored in three categories, variable area flowmeter, positive displacement flowmeter and thermal mass flowmeter. For variable area flow meter, this was the 15th consecutive year we have place 1st in this category. And for positive displacement flow meter, this is the 18th consecutive year we have placed 1st. Quite an achievement if I do say so myself! For thermal mass flow meter, we placed 4th this year.

Well, last week sure was a busy one for Brooks with two major trade shows going on for us at the same time. We had the Fuel Cell Seminar in Orlando, FL and the Chem Show in New York, NY last week. I personally attended the Chem Show in NYC. The show was much smaller than in years past but we still made some good contacts and spoke with a lot of customers searching for flow meters and flow controllers. Not to mention our direct liquid injection vaporizer system. I always find it humorous that our magical floating ping pong demo attracts so much attention. It’s so simple yet everyone loves to stop and see how we are using our 4800 Series mass flow controller and 1355 Sho-Rate flowmeter to levitate  a ping pong ball in mid air! Read more…

It’s time for the Chem Show again. For Brooks, it’s nice that this show is right around the corner from our headquarters in Hatfield, PA … just a simple train ride up to New York. I’m looking forward to the Chem Show and if you are going, be sure to stop by our booth, booth #303.

I’m really excited to announce the availability of a low flow rate option for our Model MT3809 armored rotameters. The MT3809 variable area flow meter is now capable of accurately measuring flow rates as low as 5 L/h of air and 0.08 L/h of water with this new option. We’ve had customers requesting this new option but the real advantage is that we now have HART communications for a low flow armored flow meter. Read more…

Later this week we’ll be hanging out with our local sales agent in Puerto Rico, MR Franceschini (MRF) at the Interphex Puerto Rico trade show. Each year Brooks partner’s up with MRF to exhibit. Boy does this trade show do it right. It’s on Thursday and Friday and starts each day at 1pm and ends at 8pm. The show has a party atmosphere and everyone that comes truly seems to have a good time. It’s the best way to mix business with pleasure. I had the pleasure of attending this trade show myself years ago, but our regional sales manager for this territory, Rich Fravel, will be in attendance this year, as he is every year … lucky guy! It’s official! Brooks Instrument has launched its online store. Now we can give customers quick and easy access to the Brooks family of products. Best of all, we’re offering free shipping on all orders within the domestic United States.

Currently, the store offers the 2500 Series plastic tube flow meters (rotameters) for purchase. In the coming months, we’ll be adding pressure gauges, pressure transducers, mass flow controllers, mass flow meters and more.

The industry has spoken, and as a result, Brooks received multiple honors in Control Global’s recent Readers’ Choice Awards! We earned three top marks in flow measurement, a supplier category with arguably the most detailed applications expertise and domain knowledge required in any category of the awards.

We placed No.1 in the category of Variable Area Flowmeter and No. 2 in Postive Displacement Flowmeter. We came in No. 3 in the category of Thermal Mass Flowmeter.
